Maruti Suzuki India Ltd present ‘Traffic Heroes of India’

Ahmedabad, Jan 19 : Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. initiated ‘Traffic Heroes of India’ initiative in partnership with Radio Mirchi to address an issue which impacts all road users in the city – general lack of driving sense and blissful ignorance of traffic rules.

As part of the initiative – 

The initiative was formally launched on  18 January 2017 with a press conference which was addressed by Muneesh Bali, Regional Manager, Maruti Suzuki India ltd., Dilip sinh Vaghela, Inspector Traffic Police and  Sandip Pandit, Activation Head, Radio Mirchi Ahmedabad.

The initiative is to build a sense of responsibilities amongst vehicle drivers by creating awareness about Traffic Rules. The objective of the drive being conducted from January 18th to 23rd January 2017 is to curb wilful violation of traffic rules and make driving in the city a safe and pleasant experience for all.  

As part of the activity, a convoy of Branded Cars would visit at least 10 Traffic Signals on a Daily basis covering important market places, residential colonies, schools and colleges onthe way. At every Traffic Signal, the Radio Mirchi Personnel would gratify the traffic Police personnel as a means to thank them for helping the city improve on Traffic sense and will ask them to take a pledge by signing a pledge to follow road safety rules. One commuter from each side of the road who obeys the traffic rules including wearing helmet or seat belt or having proper driving license will get a gift from the Radio Mirchi Personnel and the traffic police personnel present at the signal.  

The same activity is being conducted in corporates, mall and market.
