Palaj, Gandhinagar, June 2: Very often, students who clear the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced, as well as their parents, find themselves in a dilemma regarding the choice of institute and the branch of engineering.
To help them make informed choices, the Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (IITGN) will host a counselling session called ‘JEE Open House’ on June 3, 2017.
IITGN director Prof Sudhir K Jain said, “The choices that students make at such times play a very crucial part in shaping their life and career. We believe that it is our responsibility to help them out by sharing whatever information we have that could help them in making informed choices. We also believe that students at this stage are young adults who should begin to take responsibility for the decisions that they make.”
The event does not charge it participants. Students and parents who are interested in taking part in the JEE Open House can register on the institute’s web page. The event provides a platform to address general questions regarding career choices, while also showcasing various facets of IIT Gandhinagar, including the academic programs, campus infrastructure, innovations in the undergraduate curriculum, and career opportunities. The program consists of various interaction sessions with the Deans and faculty of the institute, as well as the students and alumni.
